Football has always been an important part of Christian Johnson’s life. He began playing football at the age of 10.
Holding the position of offensive lineman was his goal from the moment he started to play the game. Being an offensive lineman means putting 100% of your heart and soul into the game which Johnson fully commits to. At West Potomac High School in Alexandria, Virginia, Johnson was All-Met his senior year as well as pre-season All-American.
Once he graduated from high school, Christian entered a post-graduate year at Hargrave Military Academy. The next stop on Christian’s list was accepting a full scholarship to University of Kentucky where he was a 3-year starter and played in every game but one.
Battling injuries, Christian was signed by a variety of teams. He played Arena Football for three years before being picked up by the Arizona Cardinals in 2013. Eventually Christian moved on to play for the Calgary Stampeders in Canada. Now Christian finds a new calling in the form of readying others to be the best offensive lineman possible.
Christian understands that the role of offensive lineman is the backbone of the team – the unsung heroes. A lack of training programs and knowledgeable guides for offensive lineman gave Christian the idea of helping kids train their skills to be a step ahead of the pack as they move up the football ladder. Years of offensive lineman expertise has given Christian the motivation to pass his knowledge along to a younger generation.
Building 4th & Goal O-Line Academy into a catalyst for creating the complete offensive lineman program is his passion and drive. Giving kids an outlet for learning how to become a champion offensive lineman is the commitment of both Johnson and 4th & Goal.
